Profile: Walter Jessen is the founder, editor and head writer of Highlight HEALTH. A PhD-trained computational biologist, Walter is currently designing, implementing and applying cutting edge computational methods to analyze and integrate biological data from a wide variety of sources including clinical data, literature and high-throughput genomic or proteomic platforms. He is interested in the use of internet technologies to enhance scientific collaboration, the development of a networked science culture, and the advancement of open source science.
