I found that interesting Walter. I would have loved to have seen more discussion on this here. I wish people would come on and say what they are thinking after some of these great posts.

This seemed like an great thing for patients, to become aware if they might be at risk for a drug interaction. Some people are having to take a line of pills everyday and I've wondered about the safety of this, and how they keep track if a patient was to begin having side effects. How then does a physician determine which one is the culprit? Could a drug they've been taking for some time with no adverse reaction, later, become a problem for them?

I'd like to know how the physicians view this iGuard. Do they feel as the two doctors presenting it do, or do they see it as one more thing they would have to deal with, as patients strive to become informed?

I just attended an all day seminar yesterday and one of the speakers went on to tell us all how the doctors are beginning to flag the patients chart if the pts. come in with internet information they've obtained. It seems they tend to cringe when patients are trying to learn more and I imagine the pts. only mean to assist their doctor in helping them, but the the doctors feel they now need to "debrief" their patients about misinformation found. Some flag the chart to key them into extra time needed in the visit, to deal with what the patient has found or think they've found. That to me, didn't sound bad. They obviously needed or wanted more information, and now they can get it straight from their doctors.

Walter, I'm sorry. I see I've switched the grammar again. My period and question mark were switched. I'm doing a post on this. I wish they would find a cure for cancer, but if they can't, at least save us from chemo brain!

Will there be any archives of this to access at a later time. I'm interested in hearing it, but will be unable to at the time allotted?
