“It seems like almost everything causes cancer.” I agree with that. Sad but true.

I believe that death may be hazardous to my health. Perhaps if I just alter my beliefs I might be able to do something about that?

Alright that may be a bit sarcastic, but it is amazing the fads that are out here on the internet as far as new belief systems that just side step common sense and scientific evidence. Some are advocating the avoidance of traditional medicine stating (trying to anyway) that traditional medicine is the primary source of actual deaths when dealing with cancers and other ailments. How does one convince those who believe so deeply in such hype? Isn't there an old saying about arguing with fools?

There are many gullible and misguided individuals out there. How does anyone truly educate them? I have even heard someone say that they believe the reason why so many pet owners look like their pets is because they have swapped DNA with each other due to just living in the same proximity with each other for years. Where do people dream up this stuff?

Walter, thanks for the well thought out, documented, sourced bits of sanity the web so very much needs!

Smoking is just a killer that we all have looked the other way for so many years. But now he has come to our door and we want something done about him.
So now is the time, when we have the laws to stop smoking killing us, lets use it to stop it killing the ones that are coming after us.

Or do we want to be the helpers of the killers of tomorrow.

Regular readers know that we're big on consumer empowerment, which means increased consumer knowledge. Walter at Highlight Health cautions us, though to step back and assess just what it is that we think we know, because it might be wrong....
