		<description>Evolution pushes the metabolism of &lt;strong&gt;ALL&lt;/strong&gt; organs and tissue compartments to their metabolic limits.  

There is no other endpoint evolution can reach.  If a trait increases survival and reproduction, evolution will increase that trait until there is no more increase; that is when deaths due to more of the trait are balanced by deaths due to not enough of that trait.  Evolution minimizes the &lt;strong&gt;sum&lt;/strong&gt; of deaths due to not enough of a trait and deaths due to too much of the trait.</description>
