New Highlight HEALTH Writer: Allison Bland

I’d like to welcome a new contributing writer to Highlight HEALTH, Allison Bland.

Allison works for a science advocacy organization in Washington D.C. that works to make information about research more accessible and understandable. She is pursuing a career in science writing.

Last month, Allison wrote her first story here on Highlight HEALTH discussing Metabolic Discoveries Hidden in our Genomes. Her second story to be published later this coming week covers research on lifestyle changes for the prevention of breast cancer.

Allison has a background in English and the History of Science. She brings to Highlight HEALTH an avid interest in emerging ways of communicating scientific research.
