		<description>I agree Eric. Children need to be taught those attitudes you list and not aquire them through television advertising. I would also suggest that adults can be just as susceptible to advertising at children. 
The YouTube video is a viral video campaign, called Dove Onslaught, which attempts to demonstrate how children today are bombarded by advertising messages.

		<description>I think the take home message is to teach children about advertising.  If we don&#039;t teach our kids healthy physical and mental attitudes about diet, play, consumerism, appearance, relations and wants, someone else will.  Children, by virtue of their lack of cynicism and greater ability to learn, are very susceptible to the manipulations of advertisers.
The advertising epidemic isn&#039;t limited to food.  I think that teens and young adults who are beginning to develop their own self-identity and persona are susceptible to messages that play into their natural desire to be liked and accepted.  I recently ran across a powerful clip on Youtube that illustrates the cosmetics industry marketing onslaught and our responsibility to provide balance.
