Thanks for the information on the health problems associated with ethanol as fuel. In combination with the environmental problems associated with this approach the fuel, which is called green but is not green, it is clear that we ought to be taxing rather than subsidizing those who produce bioethanol. As you know, I’ve just discussed these environmental issues and the harmful effects of bioethanol on food prices back at my own site:

This is an interesting study with surprising results. There is a difference however between ethanol/hybrid technology and plug-in hybrids. Ethanol/hybrid technology reduces our dependence on foreign oil while plug-in hybrids replace fossil fuel dependence altogether.
