One nitpick with your first line though:  The central dogma of molecular biology, as stated originally by Crick in 1958 is that &quot;once (sequential) information has passed into protein it cannot get out again.&quot;  What your first sentence describes is the process of information flow (which, incidentally, also included RNA-&gt;DNA, RNA-&gt;RNA and direct DNA-&gt;protein in Crick&#039;s original work)
